Good evening Dear fellow Members

Wanted a suggestion regarding the appropriate price for this Winchester model 61 .22 pump action takedown rifle that I intend to buy.
I dont have the actual pics but net-based pics of the model. Its a 1958 model with an extremely clean barrel and original stock which is in good shape too. Bluing will be done up by the dealer once deal is finalised. Kindly Check and advice.
Regards

Its a nice little rifle for plinking. Ejects the empties fine as long as you avoid KF. If maintained well and cleaned regularly this rifle can serve a few generations.
The maximum reasonable market price for these rifles in good to excellent condition should range between 40 and 70k
But the words "maximum reasonable market price" varies from region to region and city to city.
Just my two pennies

Cheers
TC

If you get this rifle, and it is a fine one, be aware that it has no disconnector and will fire when being pumped with the trigger being held back.

Thanks Two Rivers. Never knew that. This makes the rifle quite unsafe by today's standards I must say.

Here's a video of the Model 61 being used by a big group of shooters at Varanasi. Quite interesting

Not really. Not as long as you are aware of it and don't fool around with a rifle. Though today you would not be able to market it.

If you could avoid it "Dont Go for a Pump Action in the 22",go for an IOF 22,its a work horse, cycles anything you put in the Magazine & is amazingly accurate.

I agree with Amit 357 to go for IOF rifle. Depends on age of Winchester pump too. Good luck
