To all those proponents of the 180 grain
And those die hard supporters of the 220 grain
Including the advocates of the 150 grain
And acknowledging supporters of the 110 grain
Not leaving out the hyper velocities of the 55 grain
To all and any I have missed
A HAPPY 30-06 Today.

Same ammo, 2 shots,IOF rifle, shot on 30/06/14
Clearly the IOF beat the Blaser
SS, rifle ranges in Delhi for big bore are limited to Army ranges such as the Nicholsen Range, Delhi Cantt and Kadarpur, CISF range at Kadarpur, Gurgaon -- you need to speak to the Commandant, little difficult initially, but generally allowed, and once you establish yourself, generally smooth sailing.

Hi skeetshot,
> Your IOF 30.06 looks great...
> If I'm not mistaken - have you got the stock replaced from the original - if so very well made
> Could you provide some details about the scope you have mounted on it?

Re your second target - I think the IOF maybe politically, leans a little to the
Right of Center!?

Both weapons are zeroed for a different load
We found a box of this match ammo mostly used for the Big Bore competition and wanted to see how it shoots

I am guessing this was 50 yards?
How are the aftermarket iron sights on the IOF grouping? Any photos of groups using the iron sights?
Any off hand shooting?

With its 1:10 twist in the IOF and 1:11 twist in the Blaser, the 165 grain bullet gives ideal velocities and accuracies in the 30-06.
Add to that the forgiving ogive of the S & B match bullet, great accuracy can be expected.
Yet, great accuracy is first a function of a great barrel, and these groups are a testimony of the IOF barrel quality
The IOF rifle belongs to a friend who shot the group and was himself amazed by the rifle - catridge combination.
