[youtube][/youtube]In the "Sharpe" series of adventure novels, author Bernard Cornwell has Sharpe teaching British Infantrymen a "bite, spit, tap" method of rapidly loading and firing flintlock rifles and muskets. Some Australian re-enactors being sceptical of the practicability decided to put it to the test. Results as per below.
