Winchester mod 1906 .22 pump action

Hello everyone,
As always,still looking for my .22 single shot,I came across this Winchester .22 pump action beauty at Bharat gun house, meerut.,with a 10 rd capacity.Dealer's askin 1 lakh.

They are nice rifles but one lakh for an ancient .22! My God!
There were some .22 short only versions, make sure this version says ".22 short, Long or Long Rifle". A .22 short version would be useless, if you cant get ammo for it in India.

This 06 looks to be in pretty good shape. It does, as XL warns, say it will shoot long rifle ammo. These were a modernization of the old Model 1890 and are a John M Browning design. They have a very quick and slick action -- as this one should. You should only consider it if it has a good bore, so check that out if you are thinking of getting it. That is a lot of money for an old gun, but this one does look quite nice. You will have to compare with what else is available.
