Hello IFGians.
Here are some pictures of my rifle.
Its been in my family from long time, used extensively and is in mint condition.
Its a 28" hammer underlever rifle, weighs about 4.5~5 kg, got leaf sights.
The marking on it is "Charles Nephew & co. London & Calcutta", can anybody tell about its actual maker?

Regards.

I can`t tell you who built the gun unfortunately but it would be useful if you could take more photographs including CLEAR pictures of the barrel flats showing the proof marks etc and the table of the action.
It is a bar-in-wood hammer double rifle - a bar action sidelock. Could be Jones `screw grip` rotary underlever opening or, possibly, a Webley 1866 patent rotary underlever. I suspect the former as the rifle appears to have steel tubes which would make it c.1890s .... very late for a Webley 1866 although guns utilising the Jones rotary underlever design were built into the late 1890s even though it was patented in 1859.
Interestingly, a few days ago I saw a very similar 12-Bore shotgun by E.M.Reilly which was dated to c.1871.

lol.
Yes, of course it`s a rotary underlever - that`s obvious and I said that above - but Jones or Webley type ? That`s what I don`t know.
As I also said, a few more DECENT photographs would help to possibly identify the gun.
