Looks like the upper and lower receivers are a copy of the AR15/M4/M16
Check the placement of the controls; safety, mag release, bolt release. Also the front and rear disassembly pins, charging handle, buttstock and buffer tube.
It looks like it has a piston instead of Direct Impingement.

Yes, for all practical purposes, the HK 416 is a piston operated M4/M16
