Sharing some pictures of a Browning X-Bolt White Gold. Typically one see's stainless & synthetic stock, browning decided to go with walnut stock for the white gold. Gun is very accurate and has some interesting features like a rotary magazine, bolt open when cocked etc.
It is in the classic 30-06 cal. and is very accurate.
What do you guys think?

Think it looks great. Do take some videos of you shooting it. Lets have a live demo of the accuracy and recoil.....

Herb, that is quite a piece of wood they gave you on that rifle -- it looks very nice! The rotary magazine sounds nice, as well. I should imagine that it's quite smooth to operate, as well as being accurate. Thanks for sharing the pics!

Wow Herb, you certainly won the wood lottery on that one.
Beautiful!

Now that's a dream 3006 to own. Accurate, great looker and a bolt action.
How does the rotary magazine look on this one look? A pic would be nice. And couldn't quite understand what a bolt open when cocked would mean?

Lovely rifle, Herb. Nice wood and the shiny barrel does not look out of place at all. Nice set up. Congratulations.

Thanks. I too did not feel the shinny barrel out of place. It is a nice looker and very accurate with 180 grain Fusion.

The rotary mag was not something I liked when I initially bought the gun as it was made of some kind of polymer, after using it I am impressed. The loading is one of the smoothest I have seen.

I meant to say ability to open the bolt when cocked and on safe, a kind of 3-position safety. On most guns you have to move the safety to unload, this is a different design and safe to use.
