Guys, I just shot a ruger 77 22 bolt action rifle, imported, brand new. The funny part is that the owner is :
Not a member of any rifle club
Not a renowned shot
Not a competition shooter
Not a farmer
Not an NRI
But he has got
A ruger 77 22
A valid license
AND MY ENVY.
While we all b**ch and moan about the government policies, I guess there are ways around it when you really want to get it done.

It is possible, custom confiscated weapon, auctioned off to politician/Policemen/Armymen.
Does any of this fit the possible way

If you have the right amount of money or influence, anything is possible.
Staying in a country like india, you cant be surprised by that much!

James good for you , enjoy it.
Dont get me wrong here, I am happy for what you got yourself.
See, breaking a law/rule is bad, but circumvention of the same is not considered as bad in Law, here.
The import policy for import of fire arms , I belive has some exceptions to it also.
But it will not apply to all of us.
BTW, did you pay 'THE PRICE' for what you aquired or you pay for the value of it.
For a
price many things can be aquired.
I was offered a brand new Taurus .32 Magnum revolver with steel body, 2 years back. But they wanted a PRICE. And I was looking for value for my money.
Regards.
