Indians For Guns

These are not really my cup of tea, but a friend let me shoot his HK 91 a little over a year ago. Big mistake. I never realized what an accurate, and well thought out piece of engineering these are. I searched out and bought this one late last summer. I added a set of green stocks with the slim fore end, as for general plinking it feels better to me. I bought the original Hensoldt Wetzler 4X scope for these rifles. Last week while away on a trip, I came across the original retractable stock, in good shape. I had it on the rifle within 10 minutes of entering the front door. I still need the original bipod that fits the wide fore end I have for the rifle. I want an original, not a reproduction, so am still on the hunt. I have run about 300 rounds through this rifle, and it is very fun to shoot, and I am amazed how well a guy can make hits on steel targets out to 500 meters. All my buddies complain about the trigger, as it is long, and heavy, but while long and heavy, it is smooth, and always breaks at the same point. You pull the trigger kind of like a double action revolver, and is easy to be consistent with. I was told by an HK expert, that the trigger was designed in this manner, to withstand a fall from a helicopter from several meters, with the safety off, and still not fire. As I was told this, rather than being involved with the original design team. I hope that Twin Rivers will not jump my butt, for repeating it.

Yes it is in good shape, best I can tell from the date code, it was made in 1983. It came out of a collection, and while it had been fired, I suspect it to have been very few rounds.
