A very good friend recently bought a Leupold 2-7 x 28 VX-1 scope for his Brno Model 1 Luxe and is extremely happy with it. That is a scope in the $ 200 range though you have to spend extra on mounts etc. If you want to go cheap then I use a Bushnell 3-9x33 on my wife's Marlin 60 rifle. That cost $ 30 and Millet rings for it cost $ 15. The Bushnell rings that came with the scope were crap.
There are more expensive as well as cheaper options. It all depends on what you want to spend etc.
Hope this helps.

Sharan,
Greetings and welcome!
As Mehul has mentioned, what primary use do you plan for your rifle?
For any 22 rimfire, a simple 4 power is a good choice, especially if long term reliability is a considerable factor (by this I am thinking about many years). However it really depends on what you want to do with the gun. If you are planning to use it strictly for target shooting and have the money, a 4-12 to 6-18 variable is a nice choice but for general farm use a high magnification can be somewhat of a bother (it can be more difficult than you realize in the beginning to find the target while looking through the scope!)
Once a use has been decided I'm sure you will be getting more suggestions!
Mark

Sharan_Kan,
Indian govt. in it's wisdom has banned the import of rifle scopes, laser sights, metalic sights for firearms. So do not try to import it through post.Lot's of people I know have brought in scopes in their baggage. If you decide to buy from here, then expect to pay double the actual cost.

PS: Before you get wrong ideas, ownership of scopes is perfectly legal.Only their import is restricted.BTW import of spotting scopes and laser range finders is allowed.

You can very easily get rifle scope in kanpur in any of the gun dealer's shop between 2k to 4k. 4x32 is recommended in .22 rifle.

Sharan,
Just to give you an example of a cheap solution - two pictures of my wife's rifle with the Bushnell scope:
BTW I had a Walther KKJ once. What model do you have?

But why burn good money when a tasco or a bushnell will do. You can spend a little less and buy lotsa .22 rounds with the money that you save.
My two cents worth as none of us really belong to swat units...oh...if some guys do then apologies but a decent 4X 20 works well in most applications, otherwise the scope begins to weigh more than the rifle.

Dev,
It is a basic laminated stock, stained to look dark. Nothing fancy at all. In any case, you can't get anything fancy on a $ 98 rifle though, for the price, I am very satisfied with the little thing's performance.
Cheers!
PS BTW, Dev, do you think any self respecting SWAT unit would use a 22 lr?

Yes, I've read how the Spetsnaz used silenced Vostok and Baikal rifles at the siege of Grizny, but, immediately afterwards, they went and designed a 9x45 round or something like that for use in subsonic moderated carbines. Some 22 lrs have fine accuracy potential and a good scope might help the owner in realising this. That was why my friend in Pakistan went for a premium Leupold for his Brno Model 2 Luxe, a fantastically accurate rifle at 22 lr ranges
