Superb 26" chopper lump steel barrels with mint bores proofed for 75gr. Cordite and 500gr. bullet. Classic Rigby sidelock action with double underlugs and highly desirable rising bite third fastener, bushed firing pins, ejectors, double safety, and double triggers. Beautifully engraved action and locks retain traces of the original hardening colors and show no wear whatsoever. Barrels reblacked. Highly figured butt stock with Silver's pad and splinter forend with lever release mechanism. Comes in the very unusual original unlined wood case with heavy nickel plated brass corners and a complete compliment of original accessories. Beautiful tight original gun showing some use but no abuse and overall about as fine an original Rigby .470 as you are likely to see.
