IOF .22 LR rifle is a good value for money firearm , kindly read the thread on IOF .22 rifle on this forum. You will also find tips on how to choose a good rifle there.

hi there,
The iof .22 is indeed good value for money, but if you really wanna buy a rifle in the true sense of the word, go for the iof . 30-'06. It is probably the most accurate rifle you'll ever get to buy first hand. Imported ammo is cheap enough ranging from 70 to 100 bucks a pop.

Check the tread 'IFG meet in Ahmedabad'. Theres a video of the IOF .30-06 being shot by yours truly.

FYI ALL - NRAI has recently gotten a batch of IOF .30-06 rifles which are available to NRAI members for purchase at around INR 80K or thereabouts.
Cheers!

Thank you for the Great news Abhijeet. How does one proceed further, I mean the procedure, paper work etc ? The NRAI website
http://www.thenrai.in/ has no mention of this when I checked just now.

Shooting your own rifle yourself ? I thought you are meant to share and let others have a hand on experience.Gujus do it differently I see.Ammo must be really expensive.

Lets just say the video is 'politically correct'

Everyone did try their hand at it nevertheless. Ammo is about 100 to 120 a pop here.
