"Mild" handloading huh ? I guess the loader got "carried away" a bit !
On a serious note, the rifle indeed had failures with a variety of chamberings where factory ammo was used too . I wonder how many IOF made rifles have faced a similar fate with factory ammo (Indian or imported). I thank God that we do not hand load much in India . Are there any similar failure reports for .315 or 30.06 ( I hope/think not ) ?
Believe it or not gentlemen, but, I have once seen a cracked chamber and adjoining barrel of an Indian made (non IOF) SBBL where a handloaded 12ga cartridge ( bhartuu ) was used . There was no damage to the shooter but he ( now hold your breath ) was getting the cracked chamber gas welded !! The fate of the firearm and the owner/shooter after the gas welding is unknown .
best,
Rp.

wasnt this the bad batch or set of accidents which gave Sako a bad name especially the allegations that Beretta take over has resulted in loose QC issues..remember Mehul stating this or warning about few years back...
