The One-Shot system; aimbot?

Well, calling it an aimbot is probably a bit too much but the One-Shot system takes a lot of the guesswork out of aiming and firing a sniper rifle.
Using the One-Shot system, under development by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), a new electro-optical system will calculate the ballistics for him, telling him where to aim and ensuring a perfect shot -- no matter the weather conditions.

Call me old-fashioned, but I don't think they can replace the human factor with an Aimbot. But that's me.

My thoughts exactly, M24 but I'd like to keep an open mind about this particular device. I think it's still going to take a thorough knowledge of ballistics and shooting to use it. I guess we won't know till they actually field it and start using it.

they already had mounted sniper systems operated via computer many years ago ,add to it recent advancements in image analysis and why not.

aim bots in games like Counter Strike or newer Battlefield Bad Company 2 are far superior of human operator.
