Well, as Abhijeet says, I lost my virginity to this gun. :)

Thanks Amit, for letting me have a go with this beauty.

Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.

Nice rifle, shitty scope. Get a better one.If by 'Sport model' you mean a target rifle, then it is not one.A double set trigger on a .22 is interesting.Enjoy your 'find'.

Already Got Hawke SideWinder scope 30 Tactical Series 4.5-14x42, will be changing soon.
This is actually a dear hunting rifle, and cannot be use as target because of set trigger, (u right winnie)
Anschutz catogorizes this rifle as sport's because of its barell length - 22 inches.

That is a new one.It would be criminal to use it on a deer though, not only because hunting is illegal in India but also because you can not kill on humanely with a .22 lr.

Not something that I would put on a .22 but it is your rifle.

Congrats
Good rifle, double trigger is usually a field grade.
Keep the scope small and simple- upto 100m; you should be comfy with a 2-7.Unless you plan to shoot something like silhouette, where I have seen Weaver T36 scopes.

I am a target shooter & collector, not a hunter,
dear hunting with hunting ammo (.22), is a term, told me by other shooter who also has the same, and do hunting. The bore noise is not too much, so it is use for hunting, and its set trigger feature helps in hunting.
