G'day fellows,
I was'nt too sure at first, but after i did a wikipedia search for the SVD, it became clear that it
is being built locally under licence.
here's what it says on wikki:
India: Used by "Designated Marksmen" in the Indian Army, and built locally under license

Cheers

Well, they may be glorified kitchen utensils, but for the average indian infantry trooper selected to operate it, the weapon is simple to understand, robust, accurate and enough for 9 out of 10 cases he will encounter.
It leaves a lot to be desired, but it also satisfies a lot of requirements.

True. That is what kitchen utensils are for. Versatile, get the job done.
