This is too confusing..Nitroexpress is not matching my piece. You owe to me something now....
Isnt it a replica of what u have posted... Pl give details of the guns u posted..
What was the piece u had uploaded ?
Puru Baruah, I am sailing in the same boat. The pics were one time transsaction with a middleman..no further clue ..
Two rivers, I believe, the gun is replica of cc post.
What u intend to say is a big puzzle for me..
If nobody has any clue, I shall be constrained to submitting myself to a local smith....
Can somebody tell me what I am having...

Ajay,

The lower one (the one with the darker stock) on nitorexpress is similar to yours and 'mine' albeit with a scope and minus magazine.

As for the gun in the pictures I'd posted... I'm sorry I know nothing more.

Perhaps if you have the time and inclination to sniff around in Kanpur something will turn up.

regards,
cc

Cc,
Thanks for info. The second one on the site of nitroexpress really matches with this one.
But still there are micro differences among them too, depending on the year of make, place, repeater or not etc...
I am surfing the net constantly. Gunboards.com seems potentially an informative site, where, experts like you guys can help a lot. Fighting to register. But 'How you spell' item is beyond my brain's understanding limits.
Lets see what can I get....
Anyway, Thanks to all..
BTW, Which company and what range (5x, 8x...) scope is most desirable for this baby...?

Mehrlader means repeater

Patronen means cartridges

The rest of the specifications are simple to figure out.

Else you can type it in carefully at translate.google.com ...remember - words have to be spelled correctly for an effective translation.

My friend has a similar rifle with serial no:116707 .
It is not 5 shot but I think 10 shot.
I can upload few photos in 10 to 15 days.
I can recommend a book to you that carries serial numbers and production dates for Oberndorf sporting rifles: Original Overndorf Sporting Rifles, by Jon Speed, Walter Schmid, and Reiner Herrmann. (Cobourg, Ontario: Collector Grade Publications Incorporated, 1997).

Yes it is ten shot and I can send some pictures if you give your email id.

I don't know if it will help but there is a company in South Africa that manufactures magazines for .22lr Mausers. Their website is kmag.co.za. I believe the magazine you are looking for is their MRT5. My father owns a Mauser mm410 or 420, I,m not sure which. My grandfather bought it the 1950's and I've shot a quite a bit with it.
