But like they say, its not the destination that matters but the journey, and let me tell you, its been fun all the way :D

Excellent! You've put a lot of time into this and it shows.

Hi Z, hate to be the damper here,1st good shooting,i personally wont accept anything less from you, irrespective its an IOF/Sauer/Remington,etc,etc.Zub, you are really good with guns and you know how to turn a PIECE of Crap like IOF 30-06,better then the Sauer, but my only question is that,as a consumer i am really frustrated, take me a normal run of the mill person, who has the basic idea about weapons, pay between US $ 2500-3000 for a 30-06 and first have to take it to a Gun Smith to get it blued and tinkered with to get it working right, and then the bolt gets stuck and again run to a G.S ( would be using this as a short for Gun Smith, cause dont know how many times am gonna be running to them),then as Sudesh wrote the reciver is messed up,back to the GS,Z their is a Manton Mauser in the 06 here with a friend, the gun is about 70+ and hasnt ever been to a GS, you have seen my .270,its 1930, works like the new one,am sure you would have seen your set of weapons,50.75,some maybe 100 yrs old,i think IOFB makes Weapons for the prosperity of GS, you go to a GS shop, what weapons are you gonna see there in the max,IOFBs,GS in Amritsar fixes a Rib on the Pistol and charges-------- the rest you can read in Posts here, the best we could do on the Webleys was to put a Safe,S/Ws,Colts,Ruger,etc,etc we the Jugadis couldnt do anything (short of converting the 5" into 2" and sayin Snub Nose hai Ji ROTFL ), like a GS told me,he prays on daily basis that IOFB keeps on doing the job they are doing and the guy will very soon be buyin a BMW  Rgds Amit

A little weekend lead-slinging session didnt turn out to be so bad after all! Group below the "+" is 4 shots and the flyer at 2'o clock was a bad let-off :? The lower group on the little circle was punched in by dad minus his glasses in almost near darkness! Shot prone off the bipod, no wind, and no changes made to windage/elevation, this was primarily a consistency check, 185-grain boat-tailed solids were the fodder used.

"With solid bullets on heavy animals such as elephant, rhino and buffalo this power is quite apparent but is not so obvious as when soft-nose bullets are being used, say, lion, particularly when is a case of stopping a charge : the .404 will stop him all right, but will seldom crumple him quite so completely as will the .416" -- John Taylor, Big Game and Big Game Rifles, (Ch. IX)
