You can read this thread for a little of their history:

Regarding whether or not the weapon is appropriate for you, I cannot answer. I must admit that I am very fond of the 30-06 cartridge, so I see that as a plus, but if you are planning on using this to learn target shooting a 22 might be a better choice economically.

Having said that, if you like the gun , it might be better to purchase it instead of wishing for the rest of your life that maybe you should have! :D

tell us bit more on what the seller says......age/ conditon/use/owner

take some pictures of the rifle and post it here. it would help assess the condition

Nikhil,

The provenance of the rifle seems to be good.Much depends on the condition of the rifle.Have you checked-up keenly the condition of the wood work, action, metal, sights, bore etc? Any cracks, rust, corrosion, wear and tear of the rifling etc? If you could post a few pics, then our more experienced folks can suggest if you can go ahead.Pricing is never rational in India.

BTW,Could you please switch off the caps and write in normal English?Makes it easy to understand and read.Thank you.

Best-
Vikram
