Some of my Rifles / Shotguns / Drillings

Post by kragiesardar » Fri Nov 28, 2008 7:48 am

A & G Holloway, 12 Guage. Pheasant and Chuckar gun. Bought it on a trip to the midwest. made in England (suspect it is a Birminham box lock)

CZ 584 Drilling, 12 Guage over 7x57 R, Turkey & Pig hunting: It has rifle iron sites on it, helps to aim at the turkeys neck / head, it also has a base for a scope mount but I found the iron sigths to be much faster.
Image
CZ 550 270. Never had a chance to take it hunting, my Brno 601 in 30.06 never wears out!
Image
Brno Fox, 223, Very, very accurate, minature mauser action. Favourite mouse gun.
Image
Brno 601 in 243, Nichlos scope, also very accurate but marginal on pigs. May take it black buck hunting on my next trip to Texas
Image
Big daddy, Brno 602, 458 Winchister Magnum, in hibernation till its master leaves for Africa. Next June I hope.

On your way to Africa and a .458? Mind if I ask what's on the cards? Ele,Cape
buffalo? Only gap,if I may say so, in that very nice battery is a .375 H&H.Might be very nice for those Elands,Zebras etc.

The Drilling, is it 12X12X7X57R or vice versa? Thank you.

Best-
Vikram

Hi Vikram - The drilling is a single 12 over a 7X57R. Will be taking a 458 or 375 and a 30.06 or 300 Win mag. The fun is selecting what to take. This time only plains game. Largest will be Zebra.

kragiesardar, what a beautiful set of firearms! I especially like that Fox -- what fun that would be!

Thanks for showing and best wishes on your upcoming Safari.
