Fabrique Nationale (FN) .270 win

Post by tigerhunter » Tue Apr 08, 2008 8:47 pm

Hello Everyone

I recently purchased a Fabrique Nationale (FN) Mauser action rifle in .270 win. Just want to get some feedback on the rifle from experts. Attached are the pictures.

Thanks

Congrats, thats a very fine gun you have there, FN actions are one of the best Mauser actions out there. Will it be possible for you post some closeup images of the Belgium proofmarks on that rifle?
Enjoy!

Thanks for uploading pictures TH. If I may divulge, TH was guided by Mehul, also in my opinion he was lucky to locate this gun and that too at a decent price. Gun did get thumbs up from Grumpy. White tails and boars better watch out.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the compliments. I will definitely upload some close up pics of the proof marks on the rifle. And yea I hope the tigers feel the same (HAHA). I wish they were enough in numbers for todays wanabe "Tigerhunters" like me to get a chance to bag atleast one in their lifetime.

I was very lucky to get this rifle at a very reasonable price. Although it came after a few sleepless nights and long email conversations with Mehul (he guided me through a difficult period and as a result I have a fine hunting rifle). There were a few major areas that Mehul enlightened me regarding these rifles to consider before purchasing the rifle. But everything worked out in my favor and the rifle was a clean one and I pulled the trigger. Very happy with the purchase but didnt get a chance to shoot it yet. Will post the results whenever I get to do that. Thanks everyone.
