Timney Triggers

Post by GVS » Thu Feb 20, 2025 7:58 am

Dear All,

I would like to install a timney trigger for my IOF 0.22.

The factory trigger is a little hard for my liking at 1.5Kg pull. I would like it to be 1Kg or a little lesser.

Any idea if the timney trigger is available in India or does it need to be imported? I checked on their website, unfortunately they don't ship to India.

regards
GVS

Dear GVS,

Kindly note ,as per the current Arms Act, no spare part for any weapon can be imported without proper permission .Try showing it to a dependable gun smith , maybe he can help.

All the best,

Chicky

GVS: Timney makes triggers for a number of guns, but rechecking their website, I did not see any trigger available for your gun or any IOF gun. I suspect that Timney will only set up to design and manufacture a trigger for the most popular guns -- ones that they have made a market study on and know that they will sell enough to make a profit.

Thank you chicky and Timmy.

I will take it to a good gunsmith and see if the trigger spring can be changed to a lighter pull one, if it's available at all.
