Rifle transformations
Firearm modification is usually done in order to enhance functionality, ergonomics, and accuracy of the firearms. I have often come across few remarkable transformations which have provided some zing to some classics. Some users tend to keep their rifles stock, and some do like to modify them. Following are the few transformations that I admire.
Ruger 10/22
Transformations:
Archangel AR 10/22 stock
Archangel AATS stock 10/22
Arch angel Nomad stock
10/22 thumbhole stock
Ruger Mini 14
Transformations:

Re: Rifle transformations
Good post Sandy.
Some will ask why? My answer would be why not?
For example someone who wants to be proficient in handling their AR15 rifle might want a Ruger 10/22 outfitted to look and feel like the AR so they could practice with cheaper ammo.
Another thing to consider would be (for example) that a Mosin bedded and floated in a synthetic stock might actually make a very accurate rifle. The Finns did that with quite a few Mosin rifles.
Not only that, it is a hobby. If one want's to tinker with ones firearm who is to say it is wrong?
Here is one of my favorite transformations:
Above is a bog standard Remington 870 synthetic stocked shotgun
Image from HERE
Here is a transformation effected on the above shotgun by some one who likes the ergonomics of the AR15 rifle. He is apparently comfortable with the handling characteristics of the rifle and wants to emulate that in his shot gun. Obviously he isn't going to do much wingshooting with the above weapon. He probably built it for three gun matches and/or home defense. I too like the AR15's ergonomics and would love to do that with my 870.

Re: Rifle transformations
Hehe Ganesh,
No matter what one does, there isn't much that can make a HiPoint carbine look any better.
It has got to be one of the ugliest firearms ever.

I have a few plans I am working on.... Once i do get some time, I will be working on some custom designs concepts for stock mods on mosin, rem 700 and marlin 795, and a modular carbine kit for S&W sigma/S&W M&P... Hopefully will try somthing with the hi point too.

Firstly thanks for those wonderful customization pics - what a treat
Just goes to show that if you have the imagination & where -with-all to do it, there are no limits to one's creation.
Way to go Sandy - Keep em coming
