Re: Hunting in Africa
I will keep you informed on us.
The clients in India have gathered the information on what documents are needed. These I have sent off to them from here.
They have plains game, none of which are found anywhere else, but in Africa.
Documents needed are such as the PH hunting register of the professional hunter and Outfitter in SA, cities clearing permits, a letter from myself/company with all my details and outlining the hunt that took place, export permits, etc.
Like I said, I will keep you posted.

Re: Hunting in Africa
The problem umlilosafari is not from the African side.
I am sure you have all the paper work ready. After all you export trophies to all parts of the world.
The problem is from the Indian side where import of Hunting trophies is a "restricted" item of trade and the way things are going, I won't be surprised, if they (the Govt.) Ban all such imports in the future.

Yes 100% correct. The hard part of the shipment process is in India. My clients in India have gathered exactly what paperwork and permits is necessary to clear goods through customs. We are currently getting this together and will sent off to India asap. Only once they have given the go ahead that paperwork and permits are in place and satisfactory will we ship.
I do appreciate what you are trying to say
Thank you

Re: Hunting in Africa
Can anyone give me some advise please.
I am coming to India in October.
1) Are there any travel/outdoor/gun magazines or newspapers that one could advertise in?
2) How do I get a group of people together so that I can give a presentation and hand out free DVD's and brochures?? I was thinking of contacting some of the rifle ranges or clubs to sent out emails for me and/or place a notice about.
Please help...

Re: Hunting in Africa
There are many travel magazines.
But you can only advertise if you are offering only safaris.
Advertising hunting wont be possible as its illegal. I may be wrong. Ask Safarigent, he runs Shikar International.
But yes, you can send emails to shooting clubs and arms dealers. They might get you good amount of customers.
To gather people, you can contact shooting clubs. Also you can check if any metro city has a travel fair, you can go there. Send not only shooting but travel clubs also.
If it's legal to advertise, do advertise, but dont add any picture of dead animals. Ms. Meneka will bother you then

So many times, it happens too fast
You trade your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive
It's the eye of the tiger
It's the thrill of the fight
Risin' up to the challenge
Of our rival
And the last known survivor
Stalks his prey in the night
And he's watching us all with the
Eye of the tiger
You trade your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive
