Now this is pretty. Built by/for Churchills. Would anyone care to guess what it is based on and what the calibre is ?

It is a very nice rifle on the Lee Enfield action. I'll play it safe as far as the calibre is concerned - the superb old 303?
Or, did "that other controversial Churchill" do something as controversial with his rifles as he did with his superb XXVs?

Of course it`s an Enfield....and in .303.
By the way Mehul, the dealer that has this rifle has a pair of M66s - one in .270 and the other in 7mm ( x57 I presume. )
