Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.

Don't know about the .315, will ask the dealers here and let you know in a day.
IOF 30-06(brand new) would cost you anywhere between 1-1.4 lakhs. Imported (old ) would cost you more.
Your choice.

Please get yourself a K98 and as much ammo as you can get. You will be fairly happy thereafter. IMHO... be different.

Re: IOF .315 rifle...
Do you know anyone in India whose selling a K98?? Unfortunately, choice is a luxury here, a damn expensive one at that.MoA wrote:Please get yourself a K98 and as much ammo as you can get. You will be fairly happy thereafter. IMHO... be different.

.315 in Delhi costs around 57k-58k as the prices have risen by 4k. 30-06(IOF) is 1.0l and above
