This is not right... It may sound funny... but there are people (including law enforcements) who can be in bad situation due to this..

My point is that there were two mis fires in this gun (though technically only one). It is my understanding that police uses this pistol too. Compounded by an alternate post on this forum where it was said that even new guns out of factory require repair. I am not very happy with this. People who protect us have to use 2nd grade equipment.

At least the barrel is not lying next to the fellow shooting it and it is reasonably accurate.

hey dude,
you sound like fauji, and the setup of your range is also fauji. you mention that the .32 revolver of IOF is smith & wasson which i think is wrong. the revolver by IOF is designed and made under license from WEBLEY of england. its a webley MK iv. The round can be S&W .32 long which is bit costly and i think you must have used the KF made .32 round (rs 60-70 /round). the problem with KF is it tend to misfire a lot, you are lucky i had 6 round misfire.
they have also re modified the revolver now. i.e. 1. the hammer have been made into two piece for safety.2. the colour have also been modifed .
good luck

kanglasa,
"the revolver by IOF is designed and made under license from WEBLEY of england. its a webley MK iv."
A correction:
The fact is, the IOF revolver in .32" is actually more of a Enfield MK 1 copy in internal mechanism, although the barrel shape and the safety resemble that of the Webley, It is not a licensed copy. Later changes have incorporated a transfer bar and a frame mounted firing pin.
Regards,
Anand

Guys... I picked it up somewhere that though externally the IOF .32 revolver cosmetically resembles a webley, theinternal workings are similar to that of a Smithy.

Is it really !!!!!!! Wow what a revelation. But what's the source of this information. Oh my my , that is why I was thinking that what makes the IOF revolver action so slick and smooth.
