What do you have to say about Walther PPK/S in comparison to Walther PPK/L ?

First they are not the same gun. The PPK/s is a merging of the PP Frame with the slide of the PPK, whereas the PPK/L is a true PPK with an aluminium rather than a steel frame. PPK/L's have been marketed by Walther since just after WW II and are about six ounces lighter. They were made only in .32 and .22 caliber.

Never having owned one, but several FEG's (PA-63, PMK, and SMC) in 9x18, .380 and .22 LR, I can state that the aluminum framed guns are a dream to carry for a long time. They do have a bit more of a snappy recoil when used with duty ammunition.

Well I like the weight of PPK/L but PPK/S Steel is a beauty , Is the recoil in PPK/L a lot more than PPK/S ?

My experience is with the FEG Clones and a PPK/S all in .380. With .380 ball ammo, the FEG Clone of the PPK with the aluminum frame recoils about the same as my steel frame one with Buffallo bore (90 grain bullett at 1150 FPS).

If you have the time and ammunition to practice, it should not be a problem. And as I said, when they were marked in the states after WW II they were only offered in .32 ACP or .22 LR.

One correction, the stoeger catalog from 1939 shows the PPK/L and the PP/L being offered for sale at about a $7 premium.
