My brothers broomhandle mauser. 7.63 x 25 mauser. Its a very potent round, used to have a Tokarev and I could see the diffrence in the impact between the 7.63 and the 9mm.
More nusance value at the longer ranges or high level of imagination!

Do you have a shoulder stock with it? To me it looks classier with a stock.
Great piece !!

Hi Doc,
Some debate in the US if that is illegal or not. Rather stay safe!

Oh I didn't know that

Hi Doc,
It could be considered a short barrel rifle, which requires it to be registered. We have some nonsensical laws here also.

Come to think of it, a stock makes it eligible to be labelled the great grandfather of todays bullpup's

Nice looking gun indeed. Cali has more stricter laws than most of rest of US like 10 day waiting period before u can purchase handguns, magazine with capacity larger than 10 rounds are prohibited etc.
Cheers

Amit,
Just wait a bit and find below picture of the accessory stock which can be fit in the same gun for shooting it from shoulder
, this is a crossover gun basically and was designed for combat conditions. concealment is not one of its strength, versatility and power sure is.
Hope I answer your question .

Hi!
I know its not a CCW, but in these pictures….the muzzle appears a bit longer to me, I mean, as compared to the models I have seen…..did they have varying barrel sizes too across various makes…which year does this belong to?….I am kinda interested a lot in Broomhandles!

Hi AMit,
You are right about the barrel length, after 1919 German Manufacturers were required to abide by Treaty of Versailles, effectively requiring them to reduce barrel length of the handguns.
So you can find some C96 models with reduced barrel and maybe shorter grip as well.
There are variations available from Astra from 1927 onward with detachable magazine-fed version probably made for export to china .
