hi firends,
i'm RAO, from Hyderabad. got to know about IFG Forum and just wanted to introduce myself by saying hi to the other members of the forum.
i'm intrested in buying a handgun for casual shooting/self protection.
01. how much could a .32 IOF revolver or a pistol be worth if i have to buy a used weapon. i basically do not want to go through the waiting period that it takes if going through the factory order.
02.only yesterday i saw a german, 7 round armenius revolver with an arms dealer. he quoted Rs.2,50,000/- what do you say friends?

Welcome Rao,
IOF .32 revolver if for about 80-85,000/- and pistol for about 1,10-1,20,000/- here.
Arminius .32 revolver NIB should be for not more than 1,75,000/-.There was one for sale here.Check in the sales section if it is still for sale.

Not cast iron but aluminum alloy. In fact revolvers under the name 'Arminius' have been sold by more than one manufacturer. Some of them should be avoided at all costs.Include .32 Erma revolvers and Ruby revolvers/pistols in the list of firearms to be avoided at all costs.
Also a number of 'English' rifles in the market are clear forgeries.Saw a "WJ
Jaffery of London" marked Mauser some days back.
