Hey Badshah!
So finally here are the pics eh? Thanks for sharing.
As we once discussed on PM, they could be possible local cobble jobs.
Some nuances in the texture and build of the guns seem to point at that....particularly the obviously deleted and re-stamped caliber mark(.380) below the ejection slot. Also the finish is not the usual Walther stuff. Looks painted. Is the frame polymer plastic or metal?- If metal (Zinc alloy) its probably a big batch of converted blank-firers were dealing with.
Another possibly could be 9mm P99's(Don't ask how they got in) being re chambered for 380 to make them NPB... with enough money to grease palms documentation can be arranged and expedited without much trouble.
Heard and read only about P99's in 9mmPara, .40 and .22LR....
And how come we have "many"... doesnt seem to look right...
I could be entirely wrong though!!
Thanks for sharing anyway- I finally got to take a look at these.
Regards,
CC

CC,
The P 99 comes in a .380 chambering, but this Cal was launched later.
Intresting points you have raised,I did notice the re-stamped .380 bit too.
Why would someone want to sell a P 99 in .380 a model that was launched in the late 90's (the development started in 94-95)it is as close as it would get to a Glock, knowing that he or she will not be able to get their hands on an original piece

ever again.

Sanjay
I dont think that the Walther P99 came in a .380.I was only chambered for a .22, .40 and 9mm. It was supposedly planned to chamber the P99 for other calibres like the .45 and .380 but I dont think they made them. However, the Walther makes the 380 in PPK and PPK/S
Please clarify.
Cheers
Ashar

Ashar,CC you are on target,it is currently available in 9 and .40 with a double stack mag,it was meant to come out with a .45 & .380 chambering but hasnt as yet
So this one up for grabs is probably a Darra variant, even the mag in the picture is a single stack,
dangerous one to own if it is a cobbled up one.

hi all
as per my assumption the guy must have taken his .380 walther ppk overseas for a repairing job.there he might have purchased walther p99 converted it into .380 and got it back.because as i can see in my license the intelligent babus dont even know the diffence between a pistol and revolver and in small town they are even not aware of npb's and pb calibers, and they only mention the company name and not the model in license.im not sure of it but i have heard many people talkin about it and if im wrong then plz excuse me
take care

the babus and even some dealers dont know the facts.one of my relative bought a semi-auto .22 mag from a dealer as NPB rifle.another case was a 30-06 semi as NPB rifle.

this was around 1980-1985.
