Re: need help
Outside the unique Mumbai and Poona circumstance, a lot of folks have .45 Pistols issued and endorsed on PB licenses. While many service personnel both military and civil enjoy PB privileges during their service, many other 45's in civilian hands are legally owned PB's as a result of the allowance on inheritance basis. I know of several members here who own 45s... none, I believe, are going to part with their pieces any time soon.b.baracho";p="44104 wrote:Hi friends,

Strictly speaking the Bore is still in service- a number of state police forces still use the Thompson and M3Grease Guns.
District maalkhanas are always full of deposited or seized .45 1911's.... you see, many folks are not interested in inheriting PBs....or any gun for that matter.... I'm afraid that's as far as I can point you.
Anyway, outside Mumbai and Poona(?) the 45 remains what the Arms Act defines it as- A Prohibited Bore.
I can only think of one expedient if you really are interested- cultivate friends in High Places in Delhi
