Looks like it, looking at the price indicated in the post above. Girsan is a Turkish maker, not that it is bad. Sells for $700+MSRP in the US. One cannot blame them though. They simply do not have the volumes to bring the price down in India.

Vikram, you are right. Awhile back, I bought a Canik pistol (Turkish made) I did a lot of research on this pistol and satisfied myself that it was properly made. It was also a low cost gun, though they have many models based on it with lots of expensive frills and foo-faw gadgets.
I have run about 500 rounds through it so far and it has operated properly. Girsan is another Turkish brand, and there are others. There are also Turkish made shotguns for sale, and some are marketed under famous labels and some are quite nice and expensive. I wouldn't hesitate on buying something Turkish that I knew to be good.
Mine has a polymer frame, but the steel parts are well-finished, including underneath the slide which isn't seen unless the gun is disassembled. There is the matter of large production runs that makes guns cheaper. For instance, Century Arms has a marketing agreement with Canik for guns sold in the USA, which is by far the largest civilian gun market. Because of the current situation, the gun market in India is small. But still, the Turks can tool up for polymer construction and perform well finished machining and still sell their guns at a low price point. My gun cost me $350, which is RS 29500 at today's exchange rate. This takes into account import duties and still leaves a whopping margin for low production level costs.
I'll be talking about this gun on the forum soon.

what happened to arms rules? is it now allowed to import guns, parts assemble it in India and sell it in local market? there was rule for proof testing
from IOF. It clearly says made in turkey . many were booked under arms act for importing and selling guns in Indian market it should be made in India.
Oh forgot it have aluminium alloy frame.
