I am based in MumbaI.
My license is valid for Maharashtra State.

Can you travel with the handgun by road from mumbai to pune and other cities?

While travel - is there any rule to go declare the weapon at the local police station in the other city which one is visiting?

For example - if I travel to nasik or pune - do I have to go and inform the local station about the same ?

you can travel to any city within maharashtra by any means.

no need to declare at any police station.
if you are staying for long time you can
generally no one does that as your area vaidity is all state

If your license is of State validity, you may freely carry your weapon anywhere within the area of that particular state.
