What sort of a license do you have? Is it for sporting weapon or for self-defense?
Re- can renowned shots in .22 rifle also import .22 pistol like Glock 44 - No, they can't. Renowned shots can only import firearms for the category they achieved said status for. Also, the firearm they import needs to adhere to both ISSF and NRAI regulations. Glock 44 technically isn't a sporting weapon, so, regardless of one's sports status, it can't be imported. Ditto that for centerfire weapons as well.

That being said, if a Glock 44 is what you want, then you don't need to worry about importing it as they are now being manufactured in India and will be (hopefully) making their Indian civilian debut this year. In fact, you may have far more choices if things go well
