Dear Sudhakar,

I have heard of individuals,
Who have carried Original Walnut (Wooden) Grips (Pistol/Revolver) in baggage when travelling into India.
(I am not sure about the rules on this).
However make sure the original box etc. is disposed,
Otherwise one can face unnecessary harassment at the Customs.
Be cautioned - Ivory, Mother Pearl, Stag Grips etc. cannot be carried in baggage.
The spare magazine is available with Gun Shops in India.
Though it may be difficult to purchase one,
As shop owners generally sell a spare magazine with the Pistol (as a package deal).

Grips are readily available. Magazine can also be arranged.
