Guys , i am planning to decide btwn Smith wesson and webley scott revolver. Plz suggest me which is more rugged and durability.

Which models are they? Condition and calibres? Do you have any photographs?

Model 31 for smith and webley b series. Just want to know about the metallurgy, which is more rugged and durable?

The price says it all. Smith is almost double the price of Webley.

True but an as new Webley & Scott, if not ever fiddled with can last a few generations as its built like a tank.

With the amount of shooting you will be doing, durability is not an issue at all. I do not know what you mean by rugged approach. Cheers.

Which can handle negligence and abuse better?

both are good. Webley has proved in many wars the brits. fought. In our Indian Context both will serve your purpose till your age. but of course everyone has a liking and choice at last but Webley is a true ragged piece and b sure of it.

Neither would endure abuse or negligence. Leave them uncleaned, exposed to humidity,etc., both would rust and get pitted. Exceed pressure limits, both would be damaged.

SD and VIK have answered your question VERY well..... Even my Russian SKS semi auto carbines which were/ are built for adverse battle conditions can mal function if not given a MINIMUM Amount of care....
Is it possible you are confusing ABUSE/NEGLECT with ,say, carrying your revolver in wet,muddy conditions that do NOT allow for cleaning at the end of the day or several days??? my own SMITH & WESSON model28 -2 in .357 mag.,has never had an issue in over 10 years of use....

I am still confused between the two. I feel Smith is more reliable but not robust like webley. Webley more sturdy but less reliable due to leaf spring and top break design.

ROHITMONA can you provide the Pis of the two weapons then I think it will be more easy for our senior members to advice you. B.Coz both the weapons are old so the condition will matter a lot.

I have used S & W and it's fantastic to grip and shoot. I hope you must be talking about this beauty, my friend own it. It's light weight and very smooth to operate. No safety lock.
