The USP seems to be that it is an unusual gun. Other than having fun, I do not see any practical use for this gun. I don't know. May be others who know more can tell us.
Can you imagine the muzzle blast in the twilight/dark? The report must me great with that ported barrel.
$500? Pass. I will buy a lovely Ruger Blackhawk.
