Procedure to apply for PB licence 9mm

Dear members,
Please advise as how to apply for a PB licence, will my application be routed through the state gov or i have to apply directly to MHA delhi.

You need to apply to your local licensing authority, who will process it (get police verification done, interview the applicant etc.) and approve/ recommend & send it to the State Home Deptt. OR will reject it at that level itself.

The State Home Deptt. in turn will approve/ recommend & send it to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India OR will reject it at that level itself.

Once it reaches the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, they will send the file to IB for security background check of the applicant. Once they have the IB report, they will take a final decision on approval/ rejection of the application.

The mighty 7.65 is ok, well may be thats the price you have to pay to live in a SAFE and the largest democratic SETUP.

The main point is you have to justify the need for a 9mm rather than a NPB. Apart from the United States, it is much difficult today in most of the countries in the EU to get a arms permit. Here at least the provision exists.Frankly speaking for normal self defence .32 is sufficient.

One would need one if one wanted to purchase OR inherit a semi-auto centrefire rifle or a firearm chambered for 9mm para/ .38-200/ 7.62 NATO/ 5.56 NATO/ .303 British.
