I have a black one cause its newer and I did not want a flashy pistol.
Long or your pistol is new the color is a matter of personal preference.

Yes chrome did have that shiny factor. But we have such little choice anyway.

I would certainly avoid shiny guns as they may reveal your position in darkness. Revealing your position in darkness can be a matter of life or death.

I do understand there can be personal prefernces.
But if there is any difference in the quality of chrome vs. black powder plated pistol?
or which color looks better, last longer without scratches rekated to wear and tear?

Only if he/ she has a license for the same.
Licenses for certain (military) calibres are severely restricted: for handguns 9x19mm, .455 Webley, .45 ACP and .38-200 are amongst those calibers.
Only the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India in New Delhi can issue such licenses... which does not happen unless you are a super well connected person OR you have inherited the firearm.

Re : black or chrome . I bought Chrome after comparing the two . Black makes sense if you are planning to modify or augment it as the powder finish is so easy to remove , it's sometimes stripped off even by firing of cartridges . Chrome is very easy to clean and maintain . You never need worry about rusting / scratch etc . As far as " shiny " aspect of the pistol is concerned , you can easily modify it yourself to ' brushed aluminum finish' . Costs Rs 20 only . This apart ,rest assured both are same , every part is same Indian standard Babu made .

You can also customize chrome finish of some parts only and leave the rest . For example slide only or slide+magazine+trigger .
Added in 24 minutes 40 seconds:

.
The result - equally durable , less shiny and gives proper metal feel . You can do it yourself . Takes one hour time in the backyard. Compare this with the" matte " finish of Precihole AP
Watch this .

Black and chrome r same black powder coating may be easy to remove but if u Wana modify it chrome is more easy to remove it just strip ur gun and dip chrome plated parts in sulfuric acid. If U Wana fast process connect + terminal 12 v battery to gun parts and - 12 v to some zinc plate U can use galvanized iron sheet . All chrome will go off in 15 Min Then remove parts wash them Immediately with clean water and coat them with Zoric spray or WD40 or any thin mobile oil .Do this process in Glass vessel so that U can c chrome going. Off .

Shooting the Ashani at targets reveal that the sights are almost non-existent. Can any member advise how this can be modified for better aiming ? Regards...
