Hello friends,
I wanted to know the valuation of a Webley Scott revolver in pristine condition silver color with real ivory bud, holster , original cardboard box etc etc.
Its a .32 mark 4.
The real picture has been attached and realistic appraisals will be highly appreciated.

The finish (nickel plating) is most probably not original and even this is worn out at many places on the gun shown.

Most of the screw heads look chewed out, indicating the mechanism has been opened and repaired by someone who didn't know what he was doing and/ or used the wrong tools.

The screw right above the grip doesn't seem like it belongs there, at least I don't recall there being a screw at that location on these revolvers (I could be wrong though). In fact now that I think of it, isn't that where they put in that silly safety on some models? In which case that screw is probably there as the original owner had the safety removed?

The grip is visibly cracked.

All in all not what I would call "pristine condition" any which way you define the term.

Value would depend entirely on the buyer, I'm guessing anything north of 2.5-3 lacs depending on how desperate the buyer is.

Thanks for the reply. Its been with us for almost 50 years now, never had it opened in front of us, the nickel is 100% original and yes it has eroded at some places which just shows its natural age and its usage off course.
All the screws are there as it was out from the factory, anyways thanks for appraisal.

The photo says that it is in run down condition.The condition of screws shows that it is not in robust firing health.The big screw is not the part of original factory manufactured revolver.

I will not like to attach a value, but I feel that it may be difficult to sell in this condition.

the revolver has definitely been opened and fiddled with earlier If its been with you for so long. I have seen a couple of revolvers of this era and this one's nowhere near pristine as you describe it to be. Mundaire's opinion is pretty much dot on. Besides the screw heads suggest they've been handled/replaced by either a home grown smith or an incompetent/careless gunsmith. These side arms were pretty common and readily available a few decades ago and hence unfortunately were not handled with much care as they are today.
