Stranger things have happened. You just might find one brought back on TR on sale after the demise of it's owner.

And expect the price range to be well up there in the whatdoyoucallit stratosphere. I saw one while I went to deposit the familial blunderbuss at the police station when an elderly gentleman came there with a similar purpose. He brought his beautiful walnut gripped Beretta and a Brno .22 rifle. The Beretta was brought in by his DIL I was told. Not trying to sound heartless,do not know if he is still alive.

James,
I have tried for the Carpati and Kel-Tec before with many arms dealers with no luck, and I am trying even now. The best option I have been able to get is Berrata 380 (14 Round Magzine + 1 Magzine that can fire the .32 round also
) and FireStorm available with a dealer in Gurgaon for Prices around 11 Lakhs
I have been told that the guns ahve never been used before... and they were looking immaculate.. Wish I had the money to go for it....

A 380 can't fire a .32 unless its a switch barrel kit or have I read something wrong?

Dev, you are right! It's a bloody dangerous thing to do and the dealer is being
criminally unscrupulous by making such false claims... he must be trying to aid his sale by claiming that the easily available .32 ammo can be used in this gun!
Cheers!

Abhijeet,
I agree about the claim made to aid the sale but about the same pistol able to fire .32 rounds with a modified magzine is true as I saw the magzine, it was build with a bit thicker plates to fit in for .32 rounds and it was factory made with Berretta mark so had no reasons for not beleiving.
On the other note there are Adapters available for different bores which allow you to fire a different sized round from the same Arm for e.g. if you have a large sized Arm than you can use these adapter to fire a smaller bore round; vice versa is not true (How safe it is to use them is a concern!). I believe using them is illegal in India but the same are available freely in US and Europe.
Cheers

.32 and .380 both have almost the same rim diameter ..32 is semi rimmed while .380 is rimless. Therefore a .32 can also be used in a .380 pistol. However it would require that the barrel be changed to enable a .380 pistol to fire a .32 cartridge or vice versa. The rest remaining the same. However to try to fire a .32 in a .380 barrel is not something that would be recommended. However I do see things this stupid being done in India.
How about a Mauser Model 1871 rifle chambered for 11x60R being used to fire the IOF .315 cartridge?

Was about to say the same thing.
penpusher beat me to it
Thats why we have stuff like Beretta Models 81 and 84, HK-4, H&K P7K3, Cz83, to name a few. All will require barrel change over for different ammo. If I'm not mistaken some of these (Beretta I think) don't need a magazine change though it will hold fewer .32ACP rounds, due to the off-setting caused by the semi rimmed cartridge.
Well, if people are firing .32ACPs in 380 barrels... goodness! Are these people so damn stupid?
penpusher... I actually came across a local braggart who has a Mauser Model1871 and did just what you described!
Claims to have bagged legions of game with it!
