Smith&wesson .32 model 31 snub nose revolver.

One of my friend is buying Smith&Wesson .32 model 31 snub nose revolver,3.75 lac is offered by dealer,revolver is in good condiction .He has requested for some informations like effective range,rugedness and value for money as per Indian market of this revolver.Kindly help me by providig any information of this model..Regards,James....

The snubnose is a classic CCW, and has been used in that capacity for a long time. Most S&W's are really built tough,as revolvers are. They dont require much mollycoddling as pistols sometimes do.The range and accuracy depends on the shooter as much as it does on the bullet (mostly 98 grain) in this case. Max range would be 700 ft approx, though I doubt it would ever be used as a snipey

Cost wise, now thats something that can be judged by examining the weapon first hand. Given the Import issues, if its a well mantained piece. I would say that its an ok buy, but I wont say good unless I've seen it first hand. Thats my view, though.

what is the barrel length??
The 2" snub nose in selling around 3.75 for a new piece in Delhi....
