Testing of Ashani 0.32' Pistol before purchase

Post by firoz » Sat Feb 15, 2014 9:28 pm

Dear Members,

Anybody please clarify if Ashani 0.32" Pistol is subjected for a test fire at the cossipore before purchase so as to know if any jamming takes place or not.
Also when Ashani 0.32" Pistol is purchased is it with one magazine or two?
Can we purchase the ammo for Ashani 0.32" Pistol from gsf and how many?

Yes as per the arms act all weapons need to be test fired by gsf prior to delivery.
By default it comes with two magazines. I actually asked for a third one on chargeable basis they did not oblige.
Gsf does not sell ammo it has to be got from dealers. It would be mentioned on the form 7 given by the DCP at lal bazar that you can buy up-to 10 pops immediately after getting the weapon and carry it back with you. It is just my personal advise that you never carry a gun without ammo. Someone might snatch it from you...

Or you can simply ask the dealer himself to file them for you, they can do it.

Carry Ashani 0.32' Pistol back home from cossipore

Post by firoz » Sun Feb 16, 2014 8:28 pm

Kindly explain the process to carry Ashani 0.32' Pistol back home after purchasing from gsf.
Also can we carry Ashani 0.32' Pistol & travel by air? if yes what documents are more required?
Do travelling by air with licenced arms require some formalities to be done or more amount to be paid to the airline for safe carriage of the arms?
