Good find Kandarp.
Assistant Commissioner, eh?
I thought he would have been a little young (at 26) to be a Commissioner.
I wonder what he died of? Disease probably.

@ Spedini - Try now, the board quota has been increased suitably.
@ XL_target - it says on the gravestone that he was a Lieutenant in the "Indian Staff Corps" (just below his name) - which would seem to be just about right for his age. "Assistant Commissioner" was probably a civilian post for which he must have been deputed. I believe in colonial times it was common for officers from the army to be deputed to serve in the police/ administration.
Cheers!

Spedini,
Nice piece of history you have there. The Webley Government revolvers are said to be a cut above the Webley & Scott revolvers. Is that true? Seen one in .476 in nearly mint condition.
Assistant Commissioner sounds senior but is not.It is the lowest rank at which a fellow would start in the I.C.S. He was obviously on deputation to the civil administration. Not an altogether unusual thing in those times. In some areas, civil officers would hold court carrying a side arm and commanded levies.

Thanks "Winnie the pooh"
Yes thats true, the WG and WS revolvers were a cut above the ordinary MK1-VI.The finest of them all were the Wilkinson Webleys such as mine 1892 model. They are wonderful pieces really.Enjoy pics.

Hi TC
I am very pleased with the bullet mold and the four cavity makes a lot difference against one cavity when comes to speed of casting. The other mold that i have is in same caliber but weighs only 220grain against the other 265grain.Very accurate bullets, both of them. Both of them are hollow based.
All the best

Hi Spedini, thats a good collection of moulds you have. I can make out you prefer the 265 grain
