That thing needs a gun carriage and a crew to serve it. LOL
Our local range has one as a rental but I have always passed it by. Never really had the desire to shoot it.

However, I can think of one time when it would have been useful.
In the first few years of my marriage, we rented a farm house from a family friend. During deer hunting season, a group from that family was hunting by the house, so my wife said she would feed everyone at lunchtime. Around noon, I unloaded my gun, slung my backpack, put on my gloves and headed out to get the rest of the party who were about a mile away. I was walking the fence line as it was the shortest way there. As I turned the corner of a fold in the fence line, I suddenly came face to face with a big buck. Literally just feet away from each other; I don't know who jumped higher, me or the buck. I grabbed my glove with my teeth, got it off and spit it out, dropped my pack, dove into my pocket and loaded three shells into the 870. I shucked the pump and he turned and took off at high speed, quartering away from me. Because he was moving so fast, I kept telling myself; "lead him, lead him". Consequently, I shot all three shots in front of him. He was so close when I started shooting, that in actuality, I didn't require any lead. I didn't bother shooting any more because he was now angling towards a road and I wasn't going to shoot towards the road. All I could do then was watch him leap and sail across the road and disappear.
An big bore handgun would have been real handy at that point in time.

The revolver looks so very well finished and reasonably proportioned.

XL, I am sure this would have been very handy indeed.

Winnie,

The madmen come in all shapes and sizes. LOL. Even in daylight, one could see the muzzle blast clearly.I, however, wonder if they were full-house loads.
