NEVER EVEN THINK OF IT... unless you want to ruin the weapon and risk your life at the same time.

I dont think a revolver made to fire .32 S&W long can fire a .32 Magnum cartrigde.
Because , you can not chember it, .32 magnum has different dimentions.
Kindly correct me, if I am not correct here.
Regards.

The H&R mag won't fit in a S&W L revolver.
I've read somewhere that you can fire a .32 ACP from a S&W L, but I like my fingers way too much to try that!

You can do it the other way round. The .32 S&W and the .32 S&W Long can be fired in a revolver chambered for the .32 H&R Magnum. If your revolver is chambered for .32 S&W Long, a .32 H&R Magnum cartridge will not fit in the chamber as it is too long. Also remember that the .32 H&R mag generates a substantially higher pressure than the .32 S&W Long. Some of the cheaper revolvers chambered in .32 S&W Long might be dangerous to fire with that cartridge even if you could get it chambered.
Over all length of the .32 H&R Mag is 1.340" and that of the .32 S&W Long is 1.280"
Similarly a revolver chambered for .327 Federal Magnum will allow you to chamber and fire .32 H&R Mag, .32 S&W Long and .32 S&W in it.
Over all length of the .327 Federal Mag is 1.47 "
