Aloha,

Here is one of my Best Smiths, older gun, considered by many the Flagship of Smith & Wesson

Model 27 5 inch, considered by many to be the BEST barrel length for any magnum

I agree, wish Smith made all their magnums availible with 5" barrels.

Perfect balance and very comfortable shooting

Target was shot Double Action firing factory Magnum loads, stopping only to reload, no breaks

Woh what a beauty...!!!

That's the original N frame and the original magnum and has always been Top Of The Line as far as Smith's are concerned.

For us back home it's just a dream to breath the same air as smoke from this Gun.

Thanks for showing this up bear...by any chance you also have the 29 in 44 Mag?

Aloha,

No, I do not have any M-29 44 magnums.

But, I do have a 329PD, the light weight Scadium version.

I bought it on a whim, shot it once with 44 spl loads.

Barely got thru a cylinder full. It HURTS with spl loads, I wasn't even going to try magnum loads.

It is for sale.

My Favorite magnum is the 41 magnum. The Thinking Man's magnum.

Anything the 357 can do, it can do better.

Anything the 44 can do, it can it equally well. The difference in recoil is noticable.

The 41 is a true .410 diameter while the 44 is a true.429.

If it were a true .44 the recoil would be milder.

The 41 was designed to be a real Police gun and did well while in service.

It was designed by the best gun people in the US to be a "man stopper".

Also makes a great handgun hunting caliber.
