Aloha,
Do you mean Beretta 92FS or Beretta 90-two type F?
See current catalog:
http://www.berettausa.com/shop-by-depar ... e-pistols/
Please notice that there are noticeable Differences between the 2 models.
One Big difference is that the 90-two has a built in picatinny rail in front of the trigger guard.
Both are good guns. But, it is easier to find holsters for the regular 92 than the newer 90-two with rail.

92A1 has picatinny rail too. There's not a lot of difference between the 92FS and 90two. 90two is just 92 with polymer and rail thrown in. I guess Beretta marketed the 90two towards 'tacticool' guys.
Mizoram police might use it but I've never heard of them carrying it, I don't live in Mizoram though.
YogiBear what's in practice in Hawaii about CCW? Shall or may issue?

Aloha,
CCW in Hawaii is at the discression of the local Chief of Police.
The Chief "May issue" a CCW permit. Hawaii is Not a "Shall issue" state.
So far, NONE of the Chiefs of the various islands have issued CCW permits.
It is so bad that a lawsuit was filed recently. It failed.
The bad thing is that the police say that there are over 1,000,000 guns registered in Hawaii.
The majority of gun owners do Not belong to local gun rights groups who are trying to change the laws.
If ALL gun owners joined the local and National gun organiztions and gave money to Pro gun political
action groups, things would change radpidly. But, most are not members.
Don't get me started on people like that. I tend Not to be polite when talking to them.

I hate to say but those laws will never get repealed. Especially when the gun owners there are not fighting it.
My only advise would be to move outta that crappy state before another earthquake ruins your property.
FYI NRA is full of fudds, they were originally against CCW permits and 922r is their fault. Join GOA not NRA.

Crappy State?
Hawaii is one of the most beautiful states in the US. The climate and economy are pretty decent. To many people, Hawaii is as close as you'll come to paradise on earth.
The NRA may have some FUDDS in it but it is still an 800 lb Gorila in American politics.
You really must stop lecturing people about stuff that you don't have first hand knowledge about.

When even our own state governments do not rely on IOF products and are opting for imported weapons as if they always conduct special ops on a daily basis, why the hell should the ordinary citizen of a free country be sodomized and forced to buy sub standard over priced unworthy stuff and undergo the trauma of TL and other formalities' . I think it is high time NRAI / or non starter NAGRI or We forum members do something to bell the stinking IOF cat.

I meant crappy state for gun owners, with all those damn laws and people that don't wanna fight against it.
I agree that NRA is 800 lb Gorilla but 800 lb Gorilla has some side effects too. I bet you heard about the 922r issue involving the NRA.

I have always wondered at the logic behind the choice of the mizoram government when I heard through the grape vine that the Government of Mizoram had selected the Beretta rather than the G 17 which was also on offer. Having tried both these guns (G19 and Beretta 92fs) I find the Glock more suited to the prevailing conditions in mizoram. It shoots damn well, is maintenance free and is less susseptable to wear and tear than the Beretta which has an alloy frame. Moreover, the beretta is bulkier and has a bigger grip as it does not have a single piece frame + grip like the glock. This makes it unsuitable for people who are of a smaller stature than the average european or plains people. This is even more relevant when you know that officers who are issued the present OFB 9mm find it bulky and difficult to handle. Why give them a bigger handgun? I guess money speaks.

You're 100 % correct, Jonah. A G17 or G19 would be so much more suitable than the Beretta. Even though I'm not a big Glock fan, I have to admit that they will go bang ever time you pull the trigger and that they will do that whether you maintain them or not.

I believe better sense has prevailed.. Latest news is that Mizoram Police has finally shortlisted Colt M4 Carbine, Glock 19, MP5, and the Beretta Mx4 Storm and a couple of sniper rifles. But I really dont know why they need two different types of 9mm carbines in their arsenal..
