Anybody can file a criminal case against anybody at anytime. Until a person is convicted of crime by court, it does not mean much.

At the most licensing authority can reject the application. Then you can appeal to the appellate authority. If still rejected you can go to High Court. There have been judgments in High Courts where it has been held that issue of arms license should be the norm and rejection should be an exception like for people involved in heinous type of crimes.

agree with Mr goodboy, unless and until a person is convicted a person can obtain a licence it may or may not be decline by the La however one should approach the court in such a circumstance incase the applicant is rejected.

Thanks all for the answers
but IMHO, the question here is about a licensee not about a new applicant

Sureshgopi,only32owner,
In my opinion, Arms licence is only concerned when a crime has been commited with
the licenced weapon or is in any way related to the crime or could be used in near future after
a person has committed a crime or if it is proved in the court that the person involved is violent
in nature and therefore the licence be cancelled or the weapon be Confiscated.
and also When a crime is committed with a licenced weapon, the concerned weapon is confiscated
right away, but aslo it all depends on the Nature of crime committed.
Hope this helps.

Cheers
Sam singh

are you asking on behalf of the licensing authority?
if not, first tell us exactly what you have done. only then can we guide you accurately

Wow hamiclair01, atleast you read the question :D
IMHO, by plain reading, the person who is asking the quesstion, appears to be a novice , and tech savvy licensing authority :o :o

Yes he seems to be a licensing authority but be rest assured guys unless the licensed arms has been used in the crime nothing can be done against the accused.
